RTC launches first-ever Great Summer Break Scavenger Hunt and <\/strong>Transit Adventure Map<\/strong><\/h1>\r\n

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and RTC team up to help families create their own transit adventure<\/em><\/h3>\r\n

LAS VEGAS<\/strong> \u2013 The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is providing families with the opportunity to create their own fun adventure this summer with the launch of the Transit Adventure Map and Great Summer Break Scavenger Hunt. Starting June 1, families can join the RTC Transit Adventure scavenger hunt by answering questions and completing social media challenges while exploring more than 50 family-friendly destinations for a chance to win prizes!<\/p>\r\n

\u201cWe are excited to launch our first-ever Transit Adventure Map to share family-friendly locations that are accessible using public transit,\u201d said RTC CEO M.J. Maynard. \u201cThrough this effort, we hope families will create their own summer adventure while learning how easy and affordable it is to use transit to visit all our great community has to offer.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

To launch the challenge, the RTC has teamed up with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District<\/a> and businesses across the valley to promote fun destinations and prizes. Southern Nevadans can participate by picking up an official form at a participating Library District location, downloading the form from the RTC website<\/a> or filling out the online form found on the website.<\/p>\r\n

“The Library District is thrilled to be a part of the RTC’s new Transit Adventure Map program this summer,” said Kelvin Watson, executive director of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. “Libraries are the ideal place to discover and learn, and we look forward to welcoming bus riders into our branches on their quest to answer questions and complete social media challenges.”<\/p>\r\n

Using the Transit Adventure map, participants are invited to complete three challenge levels by answering a series of questions, taking selfies, and embarking on secret missions. For each level completed, participants will be entered to win prizes including a 24-hour bus pass, gift baskets from Paige & Rye<\/a> and Sight and Sound Candy and More<\/a>, or tickets to the Discovery Children\u2019s Museum<\/a>, Springs Preserve<\/a>, and Las Vegas Lights games<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

The RTC also welcomes community partners that are providing exclusive discounts for transit riders to help complete their transit adventure this summer. To enjoy the deals, riders can simply present their paper or digital transit pass at the following businesses:<\/p>\r\n
