The RTC joined forces once again with the Latin Chamber of Commerce to celebrate small and diverse businesses and their role in the green economy. This year\u2019s sold-out event included a networking business expo and expert panel discussion with NV Energy, Air Liquide, the Governor\u2019s Office of Economic Development and the RTC.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-9873 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%27557%27%20height%3D%27371%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%20557%20371%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%27557%27%20height%3D%27371%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/05\/ANG_LCC_Luncheon_May-19-2023MC_08-e1685033994490.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"371\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Why is this important to the RTC? Because we are continuously developing, funding, maintaining, and promoting sustainable, resilient transportation. Not only are technology and innovation changing rapidly, but so too is our ability to move our community more sustainably than ever before.<\/p>\r\n<p>To date, we:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Ordered 15 zero emission vehicles thanks to $17.8 million in federal funding<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Are funding a portion of battery electric buses and 22 electric bike share bikes with another $2 million grant from NV Energy<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Submitted earmark requests of $3.2 million to the Senate for two 60\u2019 hydrogen buses for the Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit Project<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Partnered with stakeholder organizations across Nevada and Arizona to submit a clean hydrogen hub application to the Department of Energy for 64 additional hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload  wp-image-9877 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%27563%27%20height%3D%27375%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%20563%20375%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%27563%27%20height%3D%27375%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/05\/ANG_LCC_Luncheon_May-19-2023MC_347-e1685034255684.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Keeping our community moving efficiently and sustainably is key to a greener, cleaner economy.
