Prepare for #MemorialDayWeekend by planning ahead for heavy traffic in and out of Las Vegas! @RTCSNV buses will follow a Sunday schedule on 5\/29.<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>LAS VEGAS &#8211;<\/strong> The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) urges commuters to plan ahead for heavy traffic and delays throughout the coming Memorial Day weekend. Additionally, transit riders should note RTC buses will operate on a Sunday schedule on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.<\/p>\r\n<p>Travelers are advised to beware of heavy traffic on I-15 southbound at the state line between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday, May 29. Motorists can sign up for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/traffic-cams\/traffic-alerts\/\">traffic alerts<\/a> on the RTC website to access the most up-to-date traffic information.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cWith hundreds of thousands of visitors choosing Las Vegas as their vacation destination this Memorial Day weekend, we are expecting traffic volumes on I-15 between Nevada and California to increase substantially,\u201d said David Swallow, RTC Deputy CEO. \u201cWe urge drivers in the valley to plan ahead to avoid congestion and delays, or use RTC transit as a convenient and affordable option to travel throughout Las Vegas.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>RTC\u2019s transit service includes the Deuce on the Strip, which runs every 15-20 minutes, 24 hours a day, offering convenience and flexibility for employees and visitors to the Las Vegas Resort Corridor.
