{"id":9708,"date":"2023-05-05T10:39:19","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T17:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/news\/?p=9708"},"modified":"2023-05-05T11:45:40","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T18:45:40","slug":"help-create-a-lasting-1-october-memorial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtc.staging.snvhost.net\/news\/help-create-a-lasting-1-october-memorial\/","title":{"rendered":"Help create a lasting 1 October memorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>RTC Guest Blog by The SWA Team<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>The 1 October Memorial Committee (1OMC) was formed in 2019 to ensure that a significant milepost in our healing journey will be the dedication of a world-class permanent memorial remembering the 58 souls who perished in the events of 1 October 2017 at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival.\u00a0 The memorial will also honor the survivors, first responders and everyday heroes who inspired the nation with\u00a0their bravery and celebrate the resiliency and compassion of our community.<\/p>\r\n<p>The SWA Team, one of the five finalist design teams selected by Clark County and the 1 October Memorial Committee, is seeking input from\u00a0the public to develop recommendations for the 1 October permanent memorial before the final design is submitted at the end of May 2023. There are three ways you can participate:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>\u00a0Stop by and speak with the SWA team at First Friday on Friday, May 5, starting at 6 p.m. or at the Symphony Park Fine Arts Festival on Saturday, May 6, starting at 10 a.m.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Take the visual survey available online in both English and Spanish at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/swa.mysocialpinpoint.com\/vegasmemorialswateam\">https:\/\/swa.mysocialpinpoint.com\/vegasmemorialswateam<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\t<li>Schedule a listening session with the SWA team directly by emailing them at <strong><a href=\"mailto:vegasmemorialteam@swagroup.com\">vegasmemorialteam@swagroup.com<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>The SWA Team is passionate about working together with the Las Vegas community to honor difficult times and recover the voices of those who fell victim to the 1 October tragedy.
