Approximately 9,000 customers visit the Bonneville Transit Center each weekday, making it an ideal location to provide a variety of social services to transit riders and the nearby community.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>WHAT: Nevada Homeless Alliance Pop-up Connect Event<br \/>\r\n<\/strong>In partnership with Clark County Social Services and the RTC, this event will connect individuals and families with on-site social services including housing assessments, employment resources, ID restoration, legal aid, veteran services, vision and dental care, behavioral health support, insurance, showers, food, clothing, pet care, and counseling.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<strong>WHEN: Tuesday, April 18, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<\/strong><strong>WHERE: Bonneville Transit Center, 101 E. Bonneville Ave<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>The BTC is located adjacent to an area of persistent poverty and one of the more densely populated food deserts in the region, making it an ideal location to offer programming that expands access to critical resources and services.<\/p>\r\n<p>For more information, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/nevadahomelessalliance.org\/connectevents\/\">Nevada Homeless Alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>In August 2020, the RTC Board adopted the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/projects-initiatives\/transportation-planning\/coordinated-transportation-plan\/\">Southern Nevada Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan<\/a>,\u201d which suggested co-locating services at transportation hubs.
