<\/p>\r\nOn January 24, the RTC joined the Nevada Homeless Alliance, Opportunity Village, Clark County Social Services, the Southern Nevada Transit Coalition and 20 other community partners to host a Pop-Up Project Homeless\u00a0Connect event at the Bonneville Transit Center (BTC).<\/p>\r\n
Project Homeless Connect brings together critical services to help link community members to resources like housing assessments, ID restoration, COVID vaccines, job search assistance, and more \u2013 all just a few steps away from their transit stop. This is the second event of its kind, following the success of the first event in April 2022.<\/p>\r\n
<\/p>\r\n
Fulfilling community visions of care<\/strong><\/p>\r\n The pop-up was the result of two RTC community engagement plans, the 2020 Coordinated Transportation Plan<\/a> and the Southern Nevada Strong (SNS) Regional Plan<\/a>. As a result of these efforts, the RTC developed community partnerships to co-locate social service resources alongside transit and increase access to care for Southern Nevadans. With more than 200 people in attendance, the RTC continues to move forward in its commitment to elevate the quality of life for our community.<\/p>\r\n The work continues!<\/strong><\/p>\r\n The RTC looks forward to continuing to work with Southern Nevada leaders and stakeholders to identify additional ways to help our community overcome critical gaps in accessing care.
