Reminder of full closure of I-15 at Tropicana starting this Friday evening, Jan. 27 through Monday morning, Jan. 30 for NDOT&#8217;s Dropicana. Prepare alternate routes! @i15trop<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>LAS VEGAS<\/strong> \u2013 The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) reminds motorists and transit riders to prepare for the complete closure of all lanes on I-15 between Russell Road and Flamingo Road starting at 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, and continuing through 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30.<\/p>\r\n<p>Other existing transit detours and traffic restrictions will remain in place. The detour on the Centennial Express (CX) will continue through Jan. 29, while the detour on Route 201 (Tropicana Avenue) will continue until 5:00 a.m. on Jan. 30. Riders are encouraged to use the free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/ways-to-travel\/how-to-ride\/ridertc-app\/\">rideRTC app<\/a> or visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/ways-to-travel\/schedules-maps\/alerts-detours\/\">rtcsnv.com\/detours<\/a> for the latest detour information and route updates, and allow extra time when taking transit routes that travel near the area of I-15 and Tropicana.<\/p>\r\n<p>Select RTC paratransit routes may also be impacted. Paratransit passengers with rides scheduled near the area of I-15 and Tropicana should call 702-228-4800 to see if their ride will be affected.<\/p>\r\n<p>Game Day Express Routes 607 (Centennial Hills Game Day Express) and Route 610 (Route 610 \u2013 North Las Vegas Game Day Express) are on detour due to Dropicana construction. Riders should plan ahead and, if necessary, consider boarding an earlier bus to ensure they get to the game on time.<\/p>\r\n<p>Motorists should prepare for major delays in the work area and plan now for alternate routes. Tropicana ramp closures and other impacts will continue for approximately 18 months.<\/p>\r\n<p>The I-15\/Tropicana interchange is one of the busiest in the Las Vegas Valley. To address future population growth as well as increased visitor volumes, NDOT\u2019s expansion of this interchange will add capacity and improve accessibility to the resort corridor.
