LAS VEGAS<\/strong> \u2013 The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is seeking our community\u2019s feedback on its Public Participation Plan, which guides the agency\u2019s transportation planning projects and is updated once every four years. Now is the public\u2019s opportunity to provide input on the updated plan through a survey available at rtcsnv.com\/engage<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

\u201cInput from the public on transportation priorities helps ensure projects meet the needs of our community, whether you ride a bicycle, walk, drive a car or take public transit,\u201d said RTC Deputy CEO David Swallow. \u201cSo, we are asking residents to tell us how best to connect with them, whether it\u2019s through digital communications like e-mail or social media, in-person events, surveys and more.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

The RTC is one of the only agencies in the country that operates a public transit system and a traffic management system (traffic signals and safety notifications) and provides roadway planning and funding and long-range transportation planning all under one roof. All of this is made possible through valuable input from our community guided by the RTC\u2019s Public Participation Plan.<\/p>\r\n

Southern Nevada residents are encouraged to let us know how they prefer to interact with the RTC on projects that impact their everyday lives via initiatives like new roads, transit, and places to bike and walk. Visit rtcsnv.com\/engage<\/a> to explore our virtual open house, review the plan and take our quick survey to make your voice heard regarding the future of transportation.<\/p>\r\n

The survey<\/a> is open through Sunday, October 9, and participants will be entered to win two tickets to an upcoming Vegas Golden Knights game.<\/p>\r\n
