Parks? Playgrounds? Affordable Housing? Not just part of a wish list – it\u2019s part of a master plan. The City of Las Vegas wants to encourage residents of East Las Vegas to \u201cimagine more\u201d and share what they want to see in their neighborhoods.<\/p>\r\n

The City of Las Vegas has launched the \u201cOur Future East Las Vegas\u201d campaign to explore the needs of its residents and create a long-term master plan to revitalize the area.<\/p>\r\n

\u201cOur Future East Las Vegas\u201d is a multifaceted vision through various initiatives aimed at bringing economic development, housing options, public infrastructure and services to neighborhoods in the east valley.<\/p>\r\n

The campaign will kick off with input opportunities for the community to understand what services and improvements they prioritize. There will be several community and engagement events, and a community stakeholder working group will be created.<\/p>\r\n

One of the initiatives is an affordable housing project of single-family homes, senior housing and multi-family units on the former site of the Desert Pines Golf Course, near Mojave and Bonanza roads, that will also incorporate commercial space, a community center, a workforce training center and park space.<\/p>\r\n
