Grab your sun screen, water bottle, and walking shoes because it\u2019s time to show appreciation for a park near you!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

The National Park Service and National Park Foundation (NPF) host National Park Week from April 16-24 celebrating the 400+ national parks open for exploration all over the country. With over 100 local parks in Southern Nevada, the RTC is joining in on the celebration by highlighting some of the parks across the valley that are accessible to you via transit.<\/p>\r\n

Sunset Park \u2013 2601 E Sunset Road<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Sunset Park has been a part of the community since 1967 and holds the title of the largest county park with 185 developed acres. It features walking trails, shaded picnic areas, a splash pad perfect for the upcoming summer months, and more!<\/p>\r\n

Located at the entrance of Mountain\u2019s Edge community, Exploration Peak Park is home to a 2,864-foot-high exploration peak featuring bike and walking trails perfect for all of the hiking lovers out there. After your hike, take advantage of the picnic areas available on a first come, first serve basis.<\/p>\r\n

Perfect for pet owners, Craig Ranch Park features not one, not two, but three dog parks! Bring your furry friend along to celebrate National Park Week with you. If you\u2019re not a pet owner, no worries! This location also features a 65,000 square-foot skate park, basketball courts, and community gardens.<\/p>\r\n

Taking place as the second-largest park in Clark County, Desert Breeze Park is home to a lot of activity housing soccer, basketball, football, and softball fields. If you need to cool off after your visit, the Desert Breeze Recreation Center is nearby with an outdoor water park and indoor swimming pool<\/p>\r\n
