Recognized the first week in March and to celebrate Alexander Graham Bell\u2019s birthday (March 3), the American Telecommuting Association uses the week to promote the benefit of working from home while staying connected to the office.<\/p>\r\n<p>For those who are able to telecommute, there are many advantages and benefits:<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">1.\u00a0 It increases individual and family time (allowing more \u201cme time\u201d or family togetherness), lowers commuting expenses, reduces stress, allows for more scheduling flexibility, and provides greater work satisfaction.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">2.\u00a0 The employer benefits from higher productivity, loyalty, and job satisfaction, a stronger focus on job performance, better recruiting and longer retention of the most productive employees.
