They serve as the face of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation in Las Vegas for that year,&#8221; said Former Assemblyman and MLK parade founder Wendell P. Williams.<\/p>\r\n<p>Williams spearheaded a movement to get a federal holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He also pushed to get the annual parade that has been the staple of downtown Las Vegas for forty years.
