With temperatures in Las Vegas reaching triple digits, we are helping riders stay cool and hydrated during our annual Summer Heat campaign. This year, we are teaming up with some new and returning partners to help increase awareness and promote safety while traveling during Southern Nevada\u2019s hottest months. Over the next several weeks, catch us at the Bonneville Transit Center and the South Strip Transit Terminal to talk heat safety and get some useful giveaways from our Summer Heat partners, including water bottles, face coverings, hand sanitizer, sunscreen and exclusive discounts for family-friendly food and entertainment.<\/p>\r\n
As a returning partner, Comprehensive Cancer Centers<\/em><\/a> will not only provide cooling scarves and free sunscreen to protect riders from the damaging effects of the sun\u2019s powerful UV rays, but team members will also be at several outreach events to discuss summer sun safety and educate riders on ways to help reduce their risk of heat-related illnesses.<\/p>\r\n Additional campaign partners include Three<\/em> Square<\/a> and Nevada Health Link<\/a><\/em> as this year\u2019s water providers, as well as those providing exclusive cool discounts for transit riders such as:<\/p>\r\n
