Given its economic importance and level of daily traffic, the RTC is conducting a federal environmental assessment to evaluate new transportation options to improve mobility on the busy roadway.

The primary element of the project would be a side-running transit system along Maryland Parkway between Russell Road and Carson Avenue, in downtown Las Vegas. Options under consideration are to either enhance the current bus route 109 or implement a high-capacity transit system with bus rapid transit or light rail, as well as pedestrian and bicycle facilities. The proposed route would also include an extension to the medical district and future UNLV School of Medicine.

The public is invited to attend one of the upcoming meetings to learn more about the project and provide feedback on the options under consideration.

PRESENTATIONS

Presentation will be given at the beginning of the meeting, followed by a Q&A session.

Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m.

RTC Administrative Building – 600 S.
