{"id":4473,"date":"2020-03-18T13:56:47","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T20:56:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/news\/?p=4473"},"modified":"2020-04-02T10:31:36","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T17:31:36","slug":"rtc-pauses-operation-of-strip-downtown-express-route","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtc.staging.snvhost.net\/news\/rtc-pauses-operation-of-strip-downtown-express-route\/","title":{"rendered":"RTC pauses operation of Strip &amp; Downtown Express route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>RTC pauses operation of Strip &amp; Downtown Express route<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ctt.ac\/xhMnd\"><em>Click to Tweet:<\/em><\/a> <a href=\"mailto:.@RTCSNV\"><em>.@RTCSNV<\/em><\/a><em> transit will pause service of the Strip &amp; Downtown Express (SDX) route beginning Thursday, March 19, until further notice, due to decreased ridership as a result of the mandated 30-day shutdown of non-essential businesses #StayHomeForNevada<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>LAS VEGAS \u2013 <\/strong>Due to reduced ridership as a result of the mandated 30-day shutdown of non-essential businesses, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/\">Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC)<\/a> will pause service of its <a href=\"https:\/\/rtcws.rtcsnv.com\/routepdf\/1219\/deuce.pdf\">Strip &amp; Downtown Express (SDX)<\/a> route, effective Thursday, March 19, until further notice.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cWe remain committed to providing transit service to our community, especially during this challenging time,\u201d said Francis Julien, RTC Deputy Chief Executive Officer. \u201cWhile we are pausing service of the Strip &amp; Downtown Express, riders can continue to move through the Resort Corridor through other RTC routes like the Deuce on the Strip. No changes have been implemented to residential fixed route or paratransit services at this time, but riders are encouraged to be patient in the event of service delays.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>Customers can continue to use alternative routes like the <a href=\"https:\/\/rtcws.rtcsnv.com\/routepdf\/1219\/deuce.pdf\">Deuce<\/a>, which runs every 15-20 minutes 24 hours a day and begins and ends at the RTC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/ways-to-travel\/schedules-maps\/park-ride\/\">South Strip Transit Terminal<\/a>, a hub that connects to six other transit routes.
