{"id":3605,"date":"2019-10-10T07:46:19","date_gmt":"2019-10-10T14:46:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/news\/?p=3605"},"modified":"2020-09-24T11:59:22","modified_gmt":"2020-09-24T18:59:22","slug":"celebrating-hispanic-heritage-month-community-partnerships-latin-chamber-of-commerce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtc.staging.snvhost.net\/news\/celebrating-hispanic-heritage-month-community-partnerships-latin-chamber-of-commerce\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Community Partnerships, Latin Chamber of Commerce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the RTC is celebrating the many contributions of our employees, contractors, and community partners.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>The RTC has a long-standing partnership with the Latin Chamber of Commerce in Las Vegas, which provides job opportunities and resources to Hispanic owned businesses all across the valley.<\/p>\r\n<p>Many of the road improvements funded by Fuel Revenue Indexing (FRI) are, in part, thanks to a diverse workforce. Since 2014, Hispanic Local Small Businesses account for $7.8 million in contracts, or approximately 10% of all Local Small Business dollars.<\/p>\r\n<p>In 2018, 40% of the transit and roadways workforce was Hispanic.<\/p>\r\n<p>Our outreach efforts go beyond job opportunities.
