The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for transportation planning in Clark County, is seeking public comment on the Amendment to Access2040, the 2017 \u2013 2040 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).<\/p>\r\n
This amendment adds projects requested by the Nevada Department of Transportation listed below. The RTC has determined that the addition of these projects to the RTP do not adversely impact air quality.
\r\n\u2022 New project: US-95 Ramps (northwest)
\r\n\u2022 New project: I-515 Auxiliary Lanes and SR-159 Charleston Boulevard Improvements
\r\n\u2022 New project: I-515\/ US-95 Reduce and Restripe Lanes
\r\n\u2022 New project: I-15 Tropicana Interchange
\r\n\u2022 New project: I-11\/I-215\/I-515\/SR-564 Henderson Bowl
\r\n\u2022 Remove project: I-15 Hacienda HOV Ramp<\/p>\r\n
The amendment also extends funding for the Clark County School District\u2019s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program through fiscal year 2020.<\/p>\r\n
The list of proposed changes will be available at the RTC Administration Building or online at www.rtcsnv.com\/rtp starting Monday, December 17, 2018.<\/p>\r\n
The 21-day public comment period will end on Monday, January 7, 2019.<\/p>\r\n
Interested parties are invited to attend the public meeting on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Room 108 at the RTC Administration Building to learn more about the RTP Amendment and provide comments.<\/p>\r\n
