{"id":3014,"date":"2019-08-13T10:00:14","date_gmt":"2019-08-13T17:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=3014"},"modified":"2020-02-13T16:30:53","modified_gmt":"2020-02-14T00:30:53","slug":"rtc-turns-up-the-heat-to-help-riders-cool-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtc.staging.snvhost.net\/news\/rtc-turns-up-the-heat-to-help-riders-cool-down\/","title":{"rendered":"RTC turns up the heat to help riders cool down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>High summer temperatures are nothing new to those of us living in Las Vegas, but that doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019re immune to the dangerous effects.\u00a0 That\u2019s why the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) took strong efforts to find new ways to help riders stay cool and hydrated when the temperature started to rise.\u00a0 During this year\u2019s annual Summer Heat campaign, RTC staff members handed out water to nearly 4,000 riders at more than a dozen events.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Summer Heat 2019\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%271100%27%20height%3D%27619%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%201100%20619%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%271100%27%20height%3D%27619%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WTa0Kf2Kh1g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
