Additionally, road closures in place for the annual MLK Day parade will result in transit detours in downtown Las Vegas from approximately 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Transit passengers are urged to visit the RTC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/ways-to-travel\/schedules-maps\/alerts-detours\/#Daily\">website<\/a> for detour information. <\/p>\n<p>The annual parade begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, at Fourth Street and Gass Avenue in downtown Las Vegas and continues down Fourth Street, concluding at Ogden Avenue. As a result, road closures will include Fourth Street from Charleston Boulevard to Stewart Avenue, and Third Street from Garces Avenue to Coolidge Avenue, and all side streets.<\/p>\n<p>The RTC will participate in this year\u2019s parade as the community recognizes the accomplishments of the civil rights icon and celebrates this year\u2019s theme \u201cLiving the Dream \u2013 Together We Make the Dream Work.\u201d During the parade, the RTC will showcase its e-bikes and two of the newest additions to its transit fleet, the hydrogen fuel cell electric bus and the battery electric bus, both of which are an important step in helping the RTC to achieve its goal of becoming a zero-emission fleet by 2050.
