This is the next evolution of RTC’s Tap & GO enhanced fare collection service to make payment as easy and convenient as possible for transit customers.

This option is especially attractive to visitors catching an RTC bus who do not need to purchase a paper pass or download an app.

“We are pleased to make it even more convenient for residents and visitors to travel throughout our community,” said RTC CEO M.J. Maynard. “We understand that not everyone wants to carry a paper pass or download another app and believe this new feature will help make the payment process more convenient, intuitive and efficient while giving riders more payment options.”

Currently, Mastercard, Visa, Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted.

This RTC Tap & GO feature is in addition to the single-ride feature launched in the rideRTC mobile app in June, as well as the cash-to-mobile option available in the rideRTC app since December 2020.

For more information about all Tap & GO options, visit the RTC’s Tap & GO webpage.

"mc4wp_mailchimp_campaign":[

2
75,29
post-11009","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-press-releases","tag-technology","tag-transit
["GET
