Simply present your valid military\/veterans ID. #RTCSNV #VeteransDay<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>LAS VEGAS<\/strong> &#8211; In celebration of Veterans Day, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) will offer FREE transit rides to veterans and active military members who show their identification card when boarding on Saturday, Nov. 11. All routes will be operating as usual.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Southern Nevada owes a debt of gratitude to our courageous veterans and active service members,&#8221; remarked MJ Maynard, RTC CEO. &#8220;Their service has made our community and our nation stronger, and we are honored to show our appreciation on this special day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Take advantage of complimentary transit rides on Veterans Day and catch the exciting annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Las Vegas, known as one of the largest in the nation. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and runs through noon along Fourth St. between Gass Ave. and Stewart Ave. Attendees can access the parade, which is approximately a quarter mile from the Bonneville Transit Center, using one of 15 routes including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rtcws.rtcsnv.com\/routepdf\/105.pdf\">Route 105<\/a> (Martin L. The RTC reminds passengers to plan for extra travel time to and from their desired destination. For all route detours and bus stop closures, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/ways-to-travel\/schedules-maps\/alerts-detours\/\">rtcsnv.com\/alertsanddetours<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to free rides on Veterans Day, the RTC offers various transportation programs tailored to the needs of veterans and active military members in Southern Nevada, recognizing and honoring their contributions to our community.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/ways-to-travel\/fares-passes\/passes-for-veterans\/\"><strong>Veterans Reduced Fare Program<\/strong><\/a> enables U.S. Armed Force veterans residing in Clark County to receive a 50% discount on regular transit fares. Veterans must obtain an RTC Veterans ID Card.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtcsnv.com\/ways-to-travel\/transit-services\/services-for-veterans\/register-for-vmtn-transportation\/\"><strong>Veterans Medical Transportation Network<\/strong><\/a> (VMTN) is an appointment-only, door-to-door transportation option for veterans and their dependents to and from medical appointments at no cost. Registration is required.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rtcws.rtcsnv.com\/routepdf\/dvx.pdf\"><strong>Downtown &amp; Veterans Medical Center Express<\/strong><\/a> (DVX) provides direct transit access from the RTC\u2019s Bonneville Transit Center to the front door of the North Las Vegas Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Center.
