In Amsterdam the Witte Fietsen, or White Bikes, were made available for public use. While that initiative wasn\u2019t a business offering, it did make a statement of concern for pollution and against a growing car-centric community.<\/p>\n<p>Bike Share, community bikes made for everyone, slowly continued to evolve over the years. Major cities across the globe began embracing bike share programs, forever transforming the way that people get around. Bike Sharing became more than just about transport; it became a lifestyle, an eco-friendly choice, and a chance to experience your city in a whole new way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Viva Las RTC Bike Share<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Six years after the launch of the first Bike Share system in a U.S. city (Washington D.C.\u2019s Capital Bike Share), Las Vegas rolled the dice on the newest micromobility concept and wheeled out RTC Bike Share. Seven years after the official launch date (October 27, 2016) was declared \u201cBike Share Day\u201d by the City of Las Vegas, <strong>riders have taken over 243,000 trips in over 1,370,000 rides<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>With three pass types (Dasher, Explorer, and Downtowner) in addition to a Reduced Fare Program, RTC Bike Share riders can now take unlimited 60-minute rides for as low as $5 per month!
