Workforce Connections, Southern Nevada’s Local Workforce Development Board, is working with its partners to open two new one-stop centers for businesses that explicitly focus on serving the needs of employers. The centers are expected to open in late summer/fall 2020.
The centers, known as Employ NV Business Hubs, will be conveniently located inside the Vegas Chamber at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, 575 W. Symphony Park Ave. #100; as well as inside the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Sahara West Library, at 9600 W. Sahara Ave.
The goal of the Employ NV Business Hubs is to create one-stop access points where employers can connect with the resources they need to reboot and grow. The hubs will be staffed with workforce development personnel trained to offer employers access to financial services, training programs, talent development, staff recruitment campaigns, licensing help, and more.
You can watch a 60 second animated feature about the new hubs in English or Spanish.
“We are a local workforce development board driven by the needs of businesses,” said Jaime Cruz, Workforce Connections executive director. “We are thrilled to work together with partner organizations to help connect employers to a ready workforce. The two new business hubs will be pivotal in helping local businesses recover and thrive again.”
The Employ NV Business Hubs are a joint effort between Workforce Connections, Nevada’s Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR), Nevada’s Department of Business & Industry (B&I), Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), the Vegas Chamber and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District (LVCCLD) among other partners.
