LAS VEGAS – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), along with public and private partners, will join with the bipartisan, bicameral state legislators of the Nevada Tech Caucus for their technology tour on Monday, Jan. 28. The tour will include discussions and demonstrations about how Southern Nevada is continuing to lead, test and deploy innovative technologies to help improve our economy and communities.

Media are invited to join the group during their tour of the RTC Southern Nevada Traffic Management Center, 4615 W. Sunset Rd., Las Vegas, Nev., 89118, from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., to experience:

  • A tour of RTC Southern Nevada’s integrated traffic management center
  • The cutting-edge Waycare predictive incident platform that is identifying accidents up to 12 minutes faster, and has reduced the number of primary crashes by 17 percent on the freeway segment where the pilot project launched.
  • A ride in the Audi “Countdown-to-Green” technology-equipped vehicles
  • A ride in the Keolis autonomous shuttle

Media are welcome to attend any or all of the listed experiences where legislators and private technology providers will be available for interviews. To RSVP, please contact Angela Castro at CastroA@rtcsnv.com or 702-676-1552, or Sue Christiansen at ChristiansenS@rtcsnv.com or 702-676-1891.
