In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week (May 1 – 7, 2022) the RTC thanks all the hard-working tourism and hospitality industry employees who make the Las Vegas visitor experience second-to-none!
The U.S. Travel Association must have had Las Vegas in mind when it named this year’s National Travel and Tourism Week – THE FUTURE OF TRAVEL!
Always reinventing itself, Las Vegas symbolizes the ultimate travel and tourism experience, boasting the greatest entertainment, sports, culinary, convention and trade show experiences in the world.
And after the pandemic lull, visitors are back to revel in all that Las Vegas has to offer. In January 2022, visitor volume was up 91.2% over the previous year. On average, Las Vegas welcomes 42.3 million visitors annually with an estimated total economic impact in excess of $63 billion.
Like the city itself, the RTC continues to improve upon Las Vegas’ amazing infrastructure to connect visitors to the city and all the places they want to go. This includes a multi-modal transportation system that provides safe, convenient, inexpensive and enjoyable ways for locals and visitors alike to get around. Whether it’s our artificial intelligence technology that improves traffic flow; Game Day Express to and from Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena; or the hundreds of daily bus routes that move people around the region including the Deuce which runs up and down the Strip, the RTC is proud to play a role in Las Vegas’ global reputation for innovation and dazzling customer service.
During National Travel and Tourism Week, and every day of the year, we thank all our dedicated RTC employees, operators, security officers and everyone who works in Las Vegas’ tourism industry for making Las Vegas great!
