The coronavirus pandemic has affected our community in many ways, including public services like transit. While our agency continues to navigate pandemic-related issues and the existing driver shortage, we are making temporary changes to our transit system to ensure we are getting you where you need to go, safely and reliably.
To provide more reliable service, effective Tuesday, Feb. 22, and until further notice, fixed route transit service will operate on a Saturday schedule, Monday through Saturday, and will remain on a Sunday transit schedule every Sunday.
By transitioning our system to a Saturday schedule, we can establish a more predictable schedule that will allow us to keep our existing drivers healthy and train new operators while getting you to work, school, doctor’s appointments and more.
If you know someone who rides transit, help us spread the word! We will continue to provide updates as we work to help connect our community.
Additionally, we want to remind our riders that you still need to wear a mask while traveling on our buses or visiting any of our transit facilities. While the state mask mandate is no longer in effect, the RTC transit system must comply with mandates from the Federal Transit Administration.
Thank you for being patient as we work to explore options to provide more reliable service, and kindly ask that continue to be patient with their drivers. These drivers are working long days and covering extra shifts on their days off – all through a pandemic – to connect our community to jobs and essential services.
