Did you know Southern Nevada is home to the one-of-a-kind Mobility Training Center (MTC)? So what makes it unique? The 14,700-square-foot facility offers three important and specialized services under one roof: paratransit certification, mobility training for people with disabilities and seniors, and Angela’s house, which is a blind skills center run in partnership with the non-profit organization Blindconnect.
In fiscal year 2019, the RTC trained more than 1,100 customers to use public transit at the MTC. This type of training results in customers accessing and riding fixed route more than 3,200 times per month, on average.
