Mark your calendars! Nevada Reading Week starts next Monday, February 27, through March 3.  This state-wide celebration has been happening for more than 40 years to promote a life-long love of reading. This year’s theme, “One World, Many Stories,” hopes to do the same by connecting readers of all ages through community events, digital speakers and more.

Kick off this Nevada Reading Week by attending one of the many live author events on the Nevada Reading Week website. Authors from a mix of grade levels will host virtual readings of their books so you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home with your kids.

If your schedule is fully “booked” and you don’t have time to make it out to a library or join online, you can read on the bus, there’s really no fuss! Through our partnership with the Las Vegas Clark County Library District (LVCCLD), transit riders can instantly access digital materials on any smart device while riding or waiting for their bus – all without the need of a library card!

To get started, access RTC Wi-Fi for free and visit LVCCLD.org/anywhere with your phone or tablet. Once you access the website, you’ll be prompted to download the free Libby app, available on iPhone and Android devices. All digital resources can be accessed immediately or downloaded for future use.

Happy reading!
